Handcrafted with Heart

Our Story

A little about who we are and why we make soap the way we do.

Born in the Pacific Northwest

Bear Den Market started at a kitchen table in the Pacific Northwest, born out of a simple frustration: why is it so hard to find soap that's actually made of real things?

We tried bar after bar โ€” drugstore brands, fancy boutique labels โ€” and almost every one had a list of unpronounceable chemicals, synthetic fragrances, and preservatives. So we decided to make our own.

We started with a single recipe: olive oil, coconut oil, and lavender. It was imperfect and took a dozen batches to get right. But when it did โ€” when the lather was silky and the scent was clean and our skin actually felt better after washing โ€” we knew we were onto something.

โ€œWe believe in ingredients you can pronounce, sourced from people you can trust, made into products that actually work.โ€

How We Make Our Soap

Every bar is made using the traditional cold-process method โ€” one of the oldest and most effective ways to make soap. Unlike commercial soap manufacturing, cold process preserves the natural glycerin in the soap, which is a natural moisturizer that most manufacturers strip out to sell separately.

Our soaps cure for a full 4โ€“6 weeks before they're packaged, which makes them harder, longer-lasting, and gentler on skin. We never rush the process.
